Foreign trade with non-EU countries - December 2025

Data on Italy’s foreign trade with non-EU27[1] countries in December 2025 are preliminary. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in December 2025 will be disseminated on coming 17 February 2026.

In December 2025, exports to non-EU27 countries rose by 4.6% and imports declined by 1.2%, compared with the same month of the previous year.

In December 2025, in seasonally adjusted terms, exports increased by 1,5% and imports by 4.3%, compared with November 2025. Over the last three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared with the previous three months, showed decreases in outgoing and incoming flows of 0.8% and 1.8%, respectively.

In December 2025, the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 8,385 million euro compared with a surplus of 6,923 million euro in December 2024; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 11,899 million euro, down compared with a 12,003-million-euro surplus in December 2024.
