Foreign Trade and Industrial import prices – February 2022
In February 2022 seasonally-adjusted data, compared to January 2022, increased by +1.6% for outgoing flows and by +5.4% for incoming flows. Exports raised by +1.3% for EU countries and by +2.0% for non EU countries. Imports grew by +1.5% for EU countries and by +9.9% for non EU countries.
Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data, compared to the previous three months, increased by +5.8% for exports and by +13.6% for imports.
In February 2022, compared with the same month of the previous year, both exports and imports grew (+22.7% and +44.9% respectively). Outgoing flows increased by +24.0% for EU countries and by +21.1% for non EU countries. Incoming flows rose by +28.3% for EU area and by +69.6% for non EU area. The trade balance in February 2022 amounted to -1,662 million Euros (-115 million Euros for EU countries and -1,548 million Euros for non EU countries).
In February 2022, import prices increased by 1.6% on monthly basis (+0.7% for the euro zone, +2.5% for the non-euro zone). Over the last three months, compared to the previous three months, import prices increased by 4.7% (+2.3% for the euro zone, +7.0% for the non-euro zone).
Import prices, compared to the same month a year ago, increased by 18.5% in February 2022 (+10.6% for the euro zone and +26.4% for the non-euro zone).
