Foreign trade and import prices - November 2022
In November 2022 seasonally-adjusted data, compared to October 2022, increased by +3.9% for outgoing flows and decreased by -1.4% for incoming flows. Exports grew by +8.3% for non-EU countries and remained stationary for EU countries. Imports rose by +0.2% for EU countries and fell by -3.1% for non-EU countries.
Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data, compared to the previous three months, increased by +1.3% for exports and dropped by -2.6% for imports.
In November 2022, compared with the same month of the previous year, both exports and imports grew (+18.0% and +20.4% respectively). Outgoing flows increased by +14.0% for EU countries and by +22.5% for non-EU countries. Incoming flows rose by +14.8% for EU area and by +27.7% for non-EU area. The trade balance in November 2022 amounted to +1,445 million Euros (-371 million Euros for EU countries and +1,816 million Euros for non-EU countries).
In November 2022, import prices decrease by 1.0% on monthly basis (-0.3% for the euro zone, -1.6% for the non-euro zone). Over the last three months, compared to the previous three months, import prices increased by 0.2% (+0.5% for the euro zone, -0.1% for the non-euro zone).
Import prices, compared to the same month a year ago, increased by 13.6% in November 2022 (+8.3% for the euro zone and +18.5% for the non-euro zone).
