Foreign trade and Industrial import prices
Istat presents data on Italy’s foreign trade as well as unit value and volume indices (base year 2010=100) referring to August 2017.
- In August 2017 seasonally-adjusted data, compared to July 2017, increased both for outgoing flows (+4.2%) and for incoming flows (+3.5%). Exports increased for EU countries (+4.3%) and for non EU countries (+4.0%). Imports increased for EU countries (+4.1%) and for non EU countries (+2.5%). Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data, in comparison with the previous three months, showed a decrease for exports (-0.2%) and an increase for imports (+0.9%).
- In August 2017, compared with the same month of the previous year, exports and imports increased (+8.4% and +8.2% respectively). Outgoing flows increased by 8.7% for EU countries and by 8.1% for non EU countries. Incoming flows increased by 9.8% for EU area and by 6.0% for non EU area. The trade balance in August amounted to +2,769
million Euros (+2,527 million Euros for non EU area and +242 million Euros for EU countries).
