Exports of Italian regions
Istat presents the breakdown of national exports by Italian Regions for the reference period January- September 2010.
In the period January- September 2010, compared with the same period of the previous year, the exports increased for all the territorial divisions, Islands exports increased by 47.5% (for the rise of refined petroleum products), South exports grown by 15.6% and Centre by 16.4%. North-East and North-West exports increased less than national average: the former grown by 13.9% and the latter by 12.7%.
In the third quarter of 2010, compared with the previous one, seasonally-adjusted data showed a growth in export data for all the areas: North-East +6.4%, North-West +5.2%, Centre +4.2% and South and Islands +4%.
In the period January- September 2010, compared with the same period of the previous year, Sardegna (+56.9%), Sicilia (+42,7%), Lazio (+23.3%), Puglia (+22.6%), Trentino-Alto Adige (+19.3%) and Abruzzo (+18.9%) are the Regions with the highest contribution to national export and with the largest exports growth rates.
