Export of Italian regions - Third quarter 2021
In the third quarter of 2021, exports increased in seasonally-adjusted terms, compared with the previous period, for the North-West (+4.6%) and for the North-East (+2.0%) while dropped for the Centre (-0.3%) and for the South and Islands (-1.1%).
In the first nine months of 2021, compared with the previous year, exports rose in all macro-regions: +34.5% for the Islands, +21.7% for the North-West, +20.2% for the North-East, +17.3% for the Centre and +10.2% for the South.
In the first nine months of 2021, more relevant increases, according to their contribution to the total export growth, were recorded in Lombardia (+21.3%), Emilia-Romagna and Veneto (+18.7% for both of them), Piemonte (+24.5%) and Toscana (+22.4%). Decreases were recorded only in Basilicata (-6.5%).
