Export of Italian regions - Second quarter 2021

In the second quarter of 2021, exports increased in seasonally-adjusted terms, compared with the previous period: +7.3% for the North-East, +3.8% for the South and Islands, +3.6% for the North-West and +0.2% for the Centre.

In the first six months of 2021, compared with the previous year, exports rose in all macro-regions: +27.6% for the Islands, +25.8% for the Centre, +24.6% for the North-East, +22.9% for the North-West and +19.0% for the South.

In the first six months of 2021, more relevant increases, according to their contribution to the total export growth, were recorded in Lombardia (+22.6%), Emilia-Romagna (+24.4%), Veneto (+23.8%), Toscana (+32.5%) and Piemonte (+29.5%) while decreases were recorded only in Liguria (-7.1%).
