Export of Italian Regions - Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, exports increased in seasonally-adjusted terms, compared with the previous period, for the Centre (+3.2%), for the North-west and the North-east (+2.4% for both) while they decreased for the South and Islands (-0.9%).

In the first nine months of 2025, compared with the previous year, exports rose in the Centre (+14.3%), in the South (+3.2%) and in the North-west and in the North-east (+1.9% for both), whereas dropped in the Islands (-7.3%).

In the first nine months of 2025, more relevant increases, according to their contribution to the total export increase, were recorded in Toscana (+20.2%), Lazio (+14.0%), Friuli-Venezia Giulia (+22.5%) and Lombardia (+1.8%). More significant falls were recorded in Sardegna (-11.5%), Sicilia (-5.1%), Marche     (-3.9%) and Veneto (-0.6%).

In line with 2024 data revision, regional data for the first two quarter of 2025 have also been revised (see the Methodological Note, page 6). The online database “External Trade Statistics” has been updated.
