Export of Italian regions
Istat presents the breakdown of national exports by Italian Regions for the reference period January- December 2011.
In the fourth quarter 2011, compared with the third period July-September 2011, in seasonally-adjusted terms, export grows for Centre (+2.7%) and decreases for other areas: North-West (-0.2%), North-East (-0.9%) and South and Islands (-3.3%).
In the year 2011, compared with the previous year, exports increase for all territorial divisions: Centre +13.0, North-West +11.2%, North-East +11.1%, South +10.7% and Islands +9.6%.
In the year 2011, compared with the year 2010, more relevant increases, according to their contribution to total export growth, were recorded for Emilia Romagna (+13.1%), Toscana (+13.7%) and Piemonte (+11.8%). Significant increases occurred also for Puglia (+17.9%), Sicilia (+15.5%), Liguria (+14.7%), Abruzzo (+14.7%) and Lazio (+13.8%).
