Export of Italian regions
Istat presents the breakdown of national exports by Italian Regions for the reference period January- September 2014.
In the third quarter 2014, compared with the previous period April – June 2014, in seasonally-adjusted terms, exports increased for North-west (+2.3%) and Centre (+2.2%), decreased for South and Islands (-2.0%) and North-east (-0.4%).
In the first nine months of 2014, compared with the same period of the previous year, exports increased for North-west (+1.5%), North-east (+3.0%), Centre (+2.0%) and South (+1.9%) while decreased for Islands (-13.0%).
In the same period more relevant increases, according to their contribution to total export increment, were recorded for Emilia-Romagna (+4.2%), Piemonte (+3.3%), Veneto (+2.5%), Liguria (+9.5%), Marche (+7.4%) and Puglia (+5.0%), while relevant decreases are recorded for Sicilia (-13.4%), Sardegna (-12.0%), Umbria (-3.6%) and Basilicata (-9.4%).
