Export of Italian regions
Istat presents the breakdown of national exports by Italian Regions for the reference period January- June 2014.
In the second quarter 2014, compared with the previous period January – March 2014, in seasonally-adjusted terms, exports increased for North-East (+1.3%) and Centre (+1.3%), decreased for South and Islands (-2.5%) and North-West (-0.3%).
In the first half of 2014, compared with the same period of the previous year, exports increased for North-West (+1.2%), North-East (+3.4%), Centre (+0.6%) and South (+2.4%) while decreased for Islands (-11.1%).
In the same period more relevant increases, according to their contribution to total export increment, were recorded for Emilia-Romagna (+4.5%), Piemonte (+4.4%), Veneto (+3.0%), Marche (+6,6%) and Puglia (+9.4%), while relevant decreases are recorded for Sicilia (-11,1%), Sardegna (-11.2%), Lazio (-3.1%) and Basilicata (-24,6%).
