Export of Italian regions
Istat presents the breakdown of national exports by Italian Regions for the reference period January- March 2014.
In the first quarter 2014, compared with the previous period October – December 2013, in seasonally-adjusted terms, exports increased for North-East (+0.9%) and Centre (+1.9%), decreased for South and Islands (-3.5%) while are stationary for North-West (0.0%).
In the first quarter 2014, compared with the same period of the previous year, exports increased for North-West (+1.7%), North-East (+4.5%) and South (+5.6%) while decreased for Centre (-0.9%) and Islands (-16.5%).
In the same period more relevant increases, according to their contribution to total export increment, were recorded for Emilia-Romagna (+5.9%), Piemonte (+6.9%), Veneto (+2.7%), Puglia (+18.1%), while relevant decreases are recorded for Sicilia (-15,6%), Toscana (-4,6%), Sardegna (-18.1%) and Lazio (-1.2%).
