Export of Italian regions

In the fourth quarter of 2019, exports increased in seasonally-adjusted terms, compared with the previous period, for the North-East (+3.0%) and the Centre (+1.9%) while decreased for the North-West (-1.8%), and for the South and Islands (-0.1%).

In 2019, compared with the previous year, exports rose in the Centre (+12.7%), in the South (+2.7%) and in the North-East (+2.3%) while dropped in the Islands (-9.7%) and in the North-West (-1.2%).

In 2019, more relevant increases, according to their contribution to the total export growth, were recorded in Toscana (+15.6%), Lazio (+15.3%), Molise (+11.7%), Puglia (+9.1%) and Campania (+8.4%) while relevant decreases were recorded in Basilicata (-16.0%), Calabria (-15.3%), Sicilia (-14.1%), Liguria (-6.5%), Valle d’Aosta (-5.4%) and Piemonte (-3.5%).
