Export of italian regions
Istat presents the breakdown of national exports by Italian Regions for the reference period January- March 2016.
In the first quarter 2016, compared with the previous period October – December 2015, in seasonally-adjusted terms, exports decreased for Centre (-3.7%), North-West (-3.3%), North-East (-2.8%) and South and Islands (-1.9%) .
In the first quarter 2016, compared with the first quarter of the previous year, exports decreased for Islands (-20.3%), North-West (-2.5%), North-East (-0.1%), while increased for South (+12.2%) and Centre (+2.3%).
In the same period more relevant decreases, according to their contribution to total export increment, were recorded for Piemonte (-7.1%), Sardegna (-38.4%), Liguria (-12.3%), Sicilia (-8.1%), Campania (-4.7%) and Friuli-Venezia Giulia (-3.2%) while relevant increases are recorded for Basilicata (+118.6%), Abruzzo (+14.9%), Lazio (+5.5%) and Molise (+151.4%).
