Export of Italian regions
Istat presents the breakdown of national exports by Italian Regions for the reference period January-June 2011.
In the second quarter 2011, compared with the first period January-March 2011, in seasonally-adjusted terms, export grows for all areas: North-East +4.4%, South and Islands +2%, Centre +1.4% and North-West +0.5%.
In the first semester 2011, compared with the same period in 2010, exports increase for all territorial divisions: Islands +20.8%, North-West +15.5%, North-East +15.4%, % South +15.3% and Centre +14.7.
In the period January-June 2011, compared with the same period in 2010, more relevant increases, according to their contribution to total export growth, were recorded for Sicilia (+29.2%), Lazio (+20.8%) and Emilia Romagna (+17%). Significant increases occurred also for Liguria (+22.9%), Puglia (+22%), Abruzzo (+19.8%) and Bolzano (+18.7%).
