Employment and unemployment (quarterly)

Istat estimates that 22,5 million persons were employed in the 3^rd quarter 2014, rising up 0.5% (+122 thousands) from 3^rd quarter 2013. The employment rate increased to 56% (+0.4 percentage points).

Unemployment rose to 3 million (+166 thousands persons), while the unemployment rate increased to 11.8%. The inactivity rate decreased to 36.4%.
