Employment and unemployment (quarterly)

Istat estimates that 22,4 million persons were employed in the 4th quarter 2014, rising up 0.7% (+156 thousands) from 4^th quarter 2013. The employment rate increased to 56% (+0.3 percentage points). Unemployment rise to 3.4 million (+208 thousands persons), while the unemployment rate increase to 13.3%. The inactivity rate decreased to 35.3%.
