Employment and unemployment (annual average)

Istat estimates that 22,3 million persons were employed in the 2014, rising up 0,4% (+88  thousands) from 2013. The employment rate rise to 55.7%. Unemployment rise to 3.2 million (+167 thousands persons), while the unemployment rate increased to 12.7%. The inactivity rate slightly decreased to 36.1%.
