Consumer confidence

In December the confidence climate index decreased from 98.2 to 96.2.

The decrease was explained by personal and current components that decreased from 101.1 to 97.3 and from 99.2 to 95.0 respectively. The economic component increased from 91.7 to 93.0 and the future component tended to be stable to 97.4.

The balance concerning expectations on unemployment decreased from 74 to 67.

Finally, the balance on inflation perceptions referring to the last 12 months increased from 32 to 33 compared to the previous month. The balance on inflation expectations for next 12 months remain stable to -11.
