Confidence of trade and service enterprises

The seasonally adjusted market services confidence indicator decreased to 72.7 in May (from 75.8 in April). The index declined in Tourism services (to 60.9) and in  Information and communication (to 64.8). Instead, increased in Transportation and storage (to 77.1) and  in Business services and other services (to 78.9). On a regional basis, confidence worsened in  North West (to 73.6), in North East (to 70.9), but improved in the Centre (to 77.7) and in the South (to 74.0).

The seasonally adjusted retail trade confidence indicator decreased to 75.4 in May (from 80.9 in April). The confidence declined in small and medium scale distribution to 86.8 (from 90.1) and in large scale distribution (passing to 67.0 from 77.2 of the previous month).
