Confidence of trade and service enterprises

The seasonally adjusted market services confidence indicator decreased to 80.4 in December (from 84.8 in November). The index increased in Transportation and storage (to 84.6) and in Information and communication (to 78.5); decreased in Tourism services (to 84.0) and in Business services and other services (to 78.6). On a regional basis, confidence worsened in the North West (to 76.1), in the North East (to 85.0) and in the Centre (to 84.7); the index grows in the South (from 79.5 to 85.5).

The seasonally adjusted retail trade confidence indicator decreased to 81.8 in December (from 86.6 in November). The confidence fell both in large scale distribution (moving to 70.9 from 77.2) and in small and medium scale distribution (to 94.3 from 97.2 of the previous month).
