Confidence of trade and service enterprises

The seasonally adjusted market services confidence indicator decreased to 76.0 in April (from 82.2 in March 2012). The index declined in Tourism services (to 69.5), in Business services and other services (to 76.2), in Information and communication (to 79.8) and in Transportation and storage (to 72.1). On a regional basis, confidence worsened everywhere: in  North West (to 75.7), in North East (to 79.1), in the Centre (to 75.5) and in the South (to 73.0).

The seasonally adjusted retail trade confidence indicator decreased to 81.8 in April (from 83.8 in March). The confidence declined for small and medium scale distribution to 90.6 (from 92.7), while it improved in  large scale distribution (rising to 77.7 from 76.1 of the previous month).
