Building permits indicators - Q4 2025

In residential buildings, the number of dwellings increased (+4.5%) in the fourth quarter 2025 when compared with the previous quarter, useful floor area increased (+2.8%) too.

Non-residential buildings, instead, decreased by 12.4% in the fourth quarter 2025 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings increased by 8.7% in the fourth quarter 2025 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was up 10.0%.

Non-residential area decreased by 0.4% in the fourth quarter 2025, compared with the same quarter a year ago, reversing the previous trend.
