Building permits indicators - Q4 2024

In residential buildings, the number of dwellings decreased (-3.1%) in the fourth quarter 2024 when compared with the previous quarter, useful floor area decreased (-0.4%) too.

Non-residential buildings increased by 0.2% in the fourth quarter 2024 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings decreased by 2.7% in the fourth quarter 2024 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was up 1.2%.

Non-residential area decreased by 4.5% in the fourth quarter 2024, compared with the same quarter a year ago, reversing the previous trend.
