Building permits indicators - Q2 2026

In residential buildings, the number of dwellings increased (+3.8%) in the second quarter 2026 when compared with the previous quarter, useful floor area increased (+1.4%) too.

Non-residential buildings increased by 2.0% in the second quarter 2026 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings increased by 8.0% in the second quarter 2026 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was up 7.3%.

Non-residential area increased by 5.1% in the second quarter 2026, compared with the same quarter a year ago, reversing the previous trend.
