Building permits indicators - Q2 2024

In residential buildings, the number of dwellings decreased (-9.5%) in the second quarter 2024 when compared with the previous quarter, useful floor area decreased (-7.7%) too.

Non-residential buildings increased by 6.1 % in the second quarter 2024 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings decreased by 7.5% in the second quarter 2024 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was down 5.3 %.

Non-residential area decreased by 0.9 % in the second quarter 2024, compared with the same quarter a year ago, reversing the previous trend.
