Building permits indicators - Q1 2025

In residential buildings, the number of dwellings decreased (-10.2%) in the first quarter 2025 when compared with the previous quarter, useful floor area decreased (-7.2%) too.

Non-residential buildings decreased by 11.4% in the first quarter 2025 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings decreased by 19.4% in the first quarter 2025 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was down -14.1%.

Non-residential area decreased by 10.5% in the first quarter 2025, compared with the same quarter a year ago, reversing the previous trend.
