Building permits indicators

In residential construction units the number of dwellings decreased in the first quarter 2019 when compared with the previous quarter (-2.0%), while useful floor area increased (+2,7%).

Unlike the last three quarters of 2018, non-residential buildings grew by 38.1% in the first quarter 2019 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings decreased by 0.9% in the first quarter 2019 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was up 1.6%.

Non-residential area decreased year-on-year, falling by 7.9% in the first quarter 2019, reversing the previous trend.
