Building permits indicators

In residential buildings the number of dwellings decreased in the second quarter 2019 when compared with the previous quarter (-2.8%); useful floor area also decreased (-2.7%).

As in the last three quarters of 2018, non-residential buildings decreased by 10.0% in the second quarter of 2019 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings decreased by 1.9% in the second quarter 2019 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area in residential units decreased by 2.1%.

Non-residential area increased by 6.4% in the second quarter 2019, reversing the previous trend.
