Export of italian regions
Istat presents the breakdown of national exports by Italian regions[1] for the reference period January-September 2015.
In the third quarter of 2015, compared with the previous period April-June 2015, in seasonally-adjusted terms, exports decreased for North-West (-2.6%), Centre (-0.8%), South and Islands (-5.2%) while it was stationary for North-East (+0.0%).
During the first nine months of 2015 exports, compared with the previous first three quarters of 2014, increased for the South (+7.9%), North-East (+5.0%), North-West (+3.6%) and Centre (+4.2%) areas, while it decreased for the Islands (-4.4%).
In the same period more relevant increases, according to their contribution to total export increment, were recorded for Piemonte (+8.7%), Veneto (+5.8%), Friuli-Venezia Giulia (+3.9%), Lazio (+13.0%) and Umbria (+4.0%) while relevant decreases were recorded for Sicilia (-9.1%) and Liguria (-5.3%).
