Istat chairs the Working Party on Statistics

As of 1 July 2014, Italy holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. In this context, the Italian National Institute of Statistics has the honor of chairing the Council Working Party on Statistics (CWPS), where legislative proposals on statistics submitted by the European Commission are discussed.

The first meeting of the Council Working Party on Statistics under the Italian Presidency will take place on the 22nd of July 2014.

A dedicated website (eu2014.istat.it) has been specially designed and developed to provide updated information on all issues relevant to Istat’s Presidency of the CWPS.
