Istat makes available online – in demo istat.it, “Resident population” and “Resident foreigners” sections – data on population stocks by age, sex, marital status and citizenship (Italian/non Italian) on 1 January 2011.
The data comes from two yearly surveys conducted by Istat in all Italian municipalities, namely Istat/Posas (Resident population by age, sex and marital status) and Istat/Strasa (Foreign residents by age and sex).
