Building permits indicators - Q3 2023

In residential buildings, the number of dwellings remained stable in the third quarter 2023 when compared with the previous quarter, useful floor area increased (+3%), instead.

Non-residential buildings decreased by 13.9% in the third quarter 2023 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings decreased by 0.9% in the third quarter 2023 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was up 0.4%.

Non-residential area decreased by 6.6% in the third quarter 2023, compared with the same quarter a year ago, reversing the previous trend.
