Data on Italy’s foreign trade with non-EU27 countries in October 2023 are preliminary. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in October 2023 will be disseminated on coming 15 December 2023.
In October 2023, exports to non-EU27 countries increased by 9.2% and imports dropped by 18.7% compared with the same month of the previous year.
In October 2023, in seasonally adjusted terms, exports increased by 6.3% and imports by 3.1% compared with September 2023. Over the last three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared with the previous three months, showed a 3.2% increase in outgoing flows and a 1.3% increase in incoming flows.
In October 2023, the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 5,366 million euro compared to a deficit of 2,174 million euro in October 2022; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 10,758 million euro, up compared with a 7,204-million-euro surplus in October 2022.
