Quarterly national accounts - Second quarter 2023

In the second quarter of 2023 the seasonally and calendar adjusted, chained volume measure of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) decreased by 0.4 percent to the previous quarter and increased by 0.4% in comparison with the second quarter of 2022.

Compared to previous quarter, final consumption expenditure decreased by 0.3 percent, gross fixed capital formation by 1.8 per cent and both imports and exports by 0.4 percent.

With respect to the second quarter of 2022, final consumption expenditure increased by 1 percent, gross fixed capital formation decreased by 0.6 percent, imports by 0.4 percent, and exports increased by 0.4 percent.

The carry-over annual GDP growth for 2023 is equal to +0.7%.
