Building permits indicators - Q4 2022

In residential buildings, the number of dwellings increased in the fourth quarter 2022 when compared with the previous quarter (+0.4%), useful floor area increased (+0.7%) too.

Non-residential buildings increased by 4.0% in the fourth quarter 2022 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings decreased by 10.7% in the fourth quarter 2022 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was down 8.1%.

Non-residential area increased year-on-year, growing by 16.1% in the fourth quarter 2022, reversing the previous trend.
