In August 2022, estimates for construction output returned to grow, increasing by 2.7% in the month-on-month series, after four consecutive falls.
In the three months to August 2022, the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction dropped by 3.6% when compared with the previous three-month period.
Year on year, both the calendar adjusted index (calendar working days being 22 as in August 2021) and the unadjusted index grew by 9.7%.
In the first eight months of 2022, construction output was up 15.0% in the calendar adjusted series and increased by 14.4% in the unadjusted series.
