In residential buildings the number of dwellings increased in the fourth quarter 2021 when compared with the previous quarter (+0.9%); useful floor area increased (+1.6%) too.
Non-residential buildings decreased by 20.3% in the fourth quarter 2021 (quarter on previous quarter).
The number of dwellings in new buildings increased by 14.0% in the fourth quarter 2021 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.
In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was up 17.6%.
Non-residential area decreased year-on-year, falling by 11.1% in the fourth quarter 2021, reversing the previous trend.
