Foreign trade with non-EU countries

Data on Italy’s foreign trade with non-EU27 countries in February 2021 are preliminary. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in February 2021 will be disseminated on coming 16 April 2021.

In February 2021 exports to non-EU27 countries decreased by 7.3% and imports decreased by 3.0% compared with the same month of the previous year.

In February 2021, in seasonally adjusted terms, exports decreased by 0.7% and imports increased by 4.2% compared with January 2021. Over the last three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared with the previous three months, showed a 2.4% decrease in outgoing flows and a 2.6% rise in incoming flows.

In February 2021 the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 4,114 million euro compared to the surplus of 5.095 million euro in February 2020; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 6,218 million euro, down compared with a 7,709 million euro surplus in February 2020.
