In March 2020, compared with the previous month, industrial producer prices decreased by 1.0%. On domestic market producer prices decreased by 1.3%, on non-domestic market by 0.5%.
The percentage change of the average of the last three months compared to the previous three months decreased by 1.0% (-1.2% for the domestic market, 0.0% for the non-domestic market).
In March 2020, compared with March 2019, industrial producer prices decreased by 3.6% (-4.9% on domestic market, -0.1% on foreign market).
In March 2020 construction producer prices of Residential buildings and non-residential buildings decreased by 0.1% compared with the previous month and increased by 0.1% on the same month of the previous year; construction producer prices of Roads and railways stay unchanged on monthly basis while increased by 0.6% on annual basis.
The percentage change of the average of the last three months, compared to the previous three months, decreased by 0.2% for Residential buildings and non-residential buildings while increased by 0.3% for Roads and railways.
In April, the Covid-19 crisis had an impact on the industrial producer prices survey and a loss in the responses rate was registered. The actions carried out to tackle these disturbances in data collection (see the Methodological note, page 11) have made it possible to calculate and release accurate provisional indices for March 2020.
