In the third quarter of 2019 the seasonally and calendar adjusted, chained volume measure of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 0.1 per cent with respect to the previous quarter and by 0.3 per cent over the same quarter of the previous year.
The third quarter of 2019 has had two working days more than the previous quarter and one more compared to the same quarter of 2018.
The quarter on quarter change is the result of a decrease of value added in agriculture, forestry and fishing and a small increase in both industry and services. On the demand side, there is a positive contribution by the domestic component (gross of change in inventories) and a negative one by the net exports component.
The carry-over annual GDP growth for 2019 is equal to +0.2%.
