Production and costs in construction

In July 2016 the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction compared with the previous month decreased by 0.4%. The percentage change of the average of the quarter May-July 2016 was -2.2% with respect to the previous quarter.

The calendar adjusted index of production in construction sector in July 2016 decreased by 1.3% compared with the same month of the previous year (calendar working days being 21 versus 23 in July 2015). In the period January-July 2016 the percentage change was -0.4% compared with the same period of 2015.

In July 2016 the unadjusted index of production in the construction sector decreased by 7.8% compared with July 2015. The average index of the first seven months of 2016 was 0.7% lower in comparison with the same period of 2015.
