Construction output contracted by 0.1% in the month-on-month series in August 2019.
In the three months to August 2019 (Jun-Aug), estimates for construction output decreased by 0.9% when compared with the previous three months.
Looking at the longer view, the year-on-year calendar adjusted series was up by 2.1% (21 calendar working days in August 2019 versus 22 in August 2018), while the unadjusted index of production in construction fell by 1.3% when compared with August 2018.
In the first eight months of 2019, construction output grew by 3.1% in the calendar adjusted series when compared with August 2018.
