Foreign trade with non-EU countries - April 2025

Data on Italy’s foreign trade with non-EU27[1] countries in April 2025 are preliminary. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in April 2025 will be disseminated on coming 13 June 2025.

In April 2025, exports to non-EU27 countries decreased by 2.1% and imports rose by 11.4% compared with the same month of the previous year.

In April 2025, in seasonally adjusted terms, exports decreased by 7.5% and imports increased by 1.6% compared with March 2025. Over the last three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared with the previous three months, showed increases in outgoing and incoming flows of 2.5% and 2.7%, respectively.

In April 2025, the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 2,178 million euro compared with a surplus of 5,036 million euro in April 2024; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 6,373 million euro, down compared with a 9,317-million-euro surplus in April 2024.
