Foreign trade with non-EU countries - January 2025

Data on Italy’s foreign trade with non-EU271 countries in January 2025 are preliminary. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in January 2025 will be disseminated on coming 18 March 2025.

In January 2025, exports to non-EU27 countries increased by 2.7% and imports by 17.9% compared with the same month of the previous year.

In January 2025, in seasonally adjusted terms, exports decreased by 1.0% and imports increased by 3.6% compared with December 2024. Over the last three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared with the previous three months, showed increases in outgoing and incoming flows of 3.7% and 7.7%, respectively.

In January 2025, the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 252 million euro compared with a surplus of 3,031 million euro in January 2024; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 4,829 million euro, down compared with a 7,441-million-euro surplus in January 2024.
