Services producer prices - Q3 2024

In the third quarter 2024, services producer prices on business market increased by 1.6%, compared with the previous quarter, and by 4.4%, compared to the same quarter of the previous year (up from +2.8% in the second quarter 2024).

Administrative and support service activities (+2.8%) recorded the highest increase on quarterly basis, mainly due to prices of Office administrative, office support and other business support activities (+4.8%). Producer prices of Administrative and support service activities rose by 5.1% on annual basis (up from +3.6% in the second quarter 2024).

Producer prices of Transportation and storage increased by 1.8% on quarterly basis. The rise was widespread in all sectors, excluding Air passenger transport, which fell by 2.2%, and Postal and courier activities, which stayed unchanged. Water transport recorded the highest increase on quarterly basis (+6.6%). Over a year, producer prices of Transportation and storage accelerated (+5.0%, after +3.6% in the second quarter 2024).

In the third quarter 2024, producer prices of Information and communication rose by 1.4%, compared with the previous quarter, and by 4.9%, compared to the third quarter 2023 (up from +2.7% in the previous quarter).

Producer prices of Professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 0.4% on quarterly basis and by 3.2% on annual basis (from +2,3% in the previous quarter).

In the third quarter 2024, services producer prices on total market (business and consumer) increased by 1.7%, compared with the previous quarter, and by 4.4% on annual basis (up from +3.1% in the second quarter 2024).
