Buildings permits indicators - Q1 2023

In residential buildings, the number of dwellings increased in the first quarter 2023 when compared with the previous quarter (+3.7%), useful floor area increased (+1%) too.

Non-residential buildings decreased by 3.3% in the first quarter 2023 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings decreased by 12.2% in the first quarter 2023 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was down 9.4%.

Non-residential area decreased by 6.3% in the first quarter 2023, compared with the same quarter a year ago, reversing the previous trend.
