Production in the construction sector - October 2021

In October 2021, estimates for construction output continued to grow, increasing by 0.8% in the month-on-month series.

In the three months to October 2021 the seasonally adjusted index of production in construction was up 2.8% when compared with the previous quarter.

Year on year, the unadjusted index for construction output rose by 10.0% and the calendar adjusted index grew by 13.9% (21 calendar working days versus 22 in October 2020).

In the first ten months of 2021, the unadjusted index increased by 25.5%, while the calendar adjusted index grew by 26.0%.
