Building permits indicators

In residential buildings the number of dwellings decreased in the second quarter 2020 when compared with the previous quarter (-25.6%); useful floor area decreased (-18.4%) too.

Non-residential buildings decreased by 15.5% in the second quarter 2020 (quarter on previous quarter).

The number of dwellings in new buildings decreased by 25.1% in the second quarter 2020 with respect to the same quarter a year earlier.

In comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the useful floor area was down 25.3%.

Non-residential area decreased year-on-year, falling by 41.3% in the second quarter 2020, reversing the previous trend.
