Industrial turnover and orders
In May 2019 the seasonally adjusted turnover index increased by 1.6% compared to the previous month (+1.4% the domestic market and +1.9% in non-domestic market); the average of the last three months increased by 1.3% compared to the previous three ones (+1.5% in domestic market and +0.6% in non-domestic market).
The seasonally adjusted industrial new orders index increased by 2.5% compared to April (+2.5% in both markets); the average of the last three months increased by 0.2% compared to the previous three ones
(-0.7% in domestic market and +1.5% in non-domestic market).
With respect to the same month of the previous year the calendar adjusted industrial turnover index increased by 0.3% (+1.1% in domestic market and -1.3% in non-domestic market). Calendar working days in May 2019 were 22 as in May 2018.
The unadjusted industrial new orders index decreased by 2.5% with respect to the same month of the previous year (-0.8% in domestic market and -5.0% in non-domestic market).
The seasonally adjusted volume turnover index (only for the manufacturing sector) increased by 1.5% compared to the previous month; the average of the last three months increased by 1.2% compared to the previous three ones. The calendar adjusted volume turnover index decreased by 0.3% with respect to the same month of the previous year.
